Most owners don’t skip social media because they have no ideas. They skip it because writing, choosing and posting all take time they haven’t got. So the useful question is not how to write better posts. It is how little you can be asked to do while the posts still sound like you.

With YorDigital Presence, the answer is one line. Here is what that looks like, step by step, by example.

What arrives each morning

Each morning an email lands in your inbox with a finished post, written in your voice, and the graphic that goes with it. There is nothing to draft and no blank page. You read it the way you would read any short message: over a coffee, between jobs, or on your phone in a queue.

When the post is based on an article, Presence also handles the headline. For every article it writes six headlines, drops any that the article does not deliver on, and shows you the strongest with two runners-up to choose from. You are choosing, not composing.

Then you make one decision, and you make it by replying.

Reply “yes”: the post goes out

Say the post is a short, plain answer to a question your customers often ask. It reads the way you would say it across a counter. You think, that’s right, that’s me.

You reply:

  • yes

That is the whole job. Once you have connected your accounts, Presence posts it for you. You do not log in, copy and paste, or hunt for a good time to publish. Each network gets its own time of day, starting from a sensible time and moving towards the hours your audience actually clicks your links. When there is an article, it goes live just before the posts that link to it.

Reply “no, because…”: a better version comes back

Some mornings the post will be close but not right. Maybe it is a little stiff, or it has drifted towards sounding like an advert. You do not need to rewrite it or explain yourself at length. You write one line, starting with “no” and giving the reason:

  • no, because it sounds too much like an advert
  • no, because it’s too formal for our customers
  • no, because it’s too long, keep it to two sentences

A better version comes back. The reason matters more than the word “no”. “No” alone tells us only that something is off. “No, because it sounds too much like an advert” tells us exactly what to fix, so the next version is shaped by what you said.

Write the because the way you would say it

You do not need special wording. Write it as you would tell a colleague: “too chatty”, “we never say it like that”, “leave out the sales bit”, “this is for people who have never used a tool like this”. The plainer the reason, the easier it is to act on.

Why one line is enough

The real value is not any single reply. It is what builds up over time. Presence learns from your feedback, so each reply tells it a little more about how you like to sound, what you would never say and what you are happy to put your name to. A “yes” says this one worked. A “no, because…” says what to change next time.

That is why the job stays small. You are not managing a tool or learning a new system. You are doing what an owner does best: deciding whether something is right for your business. The writing, the graphic and the publishing are done for you.

What this does not ask of you

  • No drafting posts from scratch.
  • No logging in to schedule anything.
  • No long briefs or feedback forms.
  • No contract: it is monthly.

We use it on ourselves first

We would not ask you to rely on something we do not rely on ourselves. YorDigital Presence runs our own social pages before anyone else gets it, and the posts you see from us come from it. The same approach already runs daily social content for an estate agency. YorDigital Services Limited has built for the web since 2001, and we are open about what we use and how.

Try it on your own business

Every customer starts with a free plan, so you can see what a morning post looks like for your business and try the reply for yourself. If you later want more, Professional is £49 a month and Business is £99 to £499 a month, monthly with no contract. If you already pay a freelancer, agency or staff member for your posts, the free plan lets you see how our price compares with what you pay now.

One line from you is enough to keep your posts going out. See how it works at yordigital.com/products/presence.
